Growing Tips
Sow seeds into seed raising trays or punnets filled with quality seed raising mix. Keep the growing medium consistently moist and place in a warm position to encourage reliable germination.
Chillies need warmth to thrive, so wait until the soil has warmed before transplanting seedlings outdoors. Once seedlings reach around 7 to 10 cm tall, gradually acclimatise them to outdoor conditions before planting into their final position.
Keep plants well watered throughout the growing season, particularly during flowering and fruit development. Avoid allowing the soil to remain constantly saturated, as good drainage is important.
Feed regularly with a liquid fertiliser during active growth. Regular feeding helps support strong plants, flowering and continued fruit production.
The mixed plants may produce fruits with different colours, shapes, sizes and levels of heat. Allow fruits to mature on the plant for stronger colour and flavour, or harvest earlier depending on how you intend to use them.
Chillies grow well in pots and containers, making this mix a good choice for smaller gardens, balconies and patios.
Caution: Chilli fruits can irritate the skin and eyes. Wash hands thoroughly after handling and avoid touching your eyes while harvesting or preparing the fruit.
