Lavender English ‘Hidcote’ Seeds – Lavandula angustifolia
A popular and hardy perennial producing beautiful fragrant purple flower spikes above compact, silvery green foliage. English ‘Hidcote’ is an excellent choice for pots, borders and hedges, while its fragrant flowers are highly attractive to bees and butterflies.
Each packet contains approximately 100 seeds.
Planting Instructions:
Sowing Time: Autumn to spring
Position: Full sun
Soil: Light, well drained soil
Sowing Depth: 5mm deep in the flowering position
Spacing: 45cm apart
Germination Time: 20 to 40 days
Flowering Time: Summer, with flowering improving from the second year
Growing Tips:
Keep the soil moist during germination but avoid waterlogging.
Choose a sunny position with excellent drainage.
Apply a complete fertiliser in spring to encourage healthy growth.
Prune plants to shape after flowering, taking care not to cut into old woody growth.
Allow plenty of space around plants to prevent overcrowding and improve air circulation.
Lavender flowers are highly attractive to bees and butterflies.
Suitable for garden beds, borders, hedges and pots.
