Nasturtium Jewel Mixed Seeds – Tropaeolum majus
A vibrant, easy-to-grow annual producing a profusion of brightly coloured flowers in shades of red, orange, yellow, and cream. Compact, bushy habit makes it ideal for garden beds, borders, containers, or even as ground cover. Both leaves and flowers are edible, adding a peppery flavour to salads.
Each packet contains 35 seeds.
Planting Instructions:
Sowing Time: Spring to early summer (after last frost)
Position: Full sun to partial shade
Soil: Well-drained, moderately fertile soil (avoid over-fertilising)
Sowing Depth: 10-15mm deep
Spacing: 25-30cm apart
Germination Time: 10-14 days
Flowering Time: 8-10 weeks from sowing
Growing Tips:
Soak seeds overnight before sowing to improve germination.
Thrives in poorer soils — too much fertiliser will result in more leaves, fewer flowers.
Water moderately; drought-tolerant once established.
Regular deadheading encourages continuous flowering.
Great for companion planting — repels pests and attracts beneficial insects.
