Oregano Seeds – Origanum vulgare
A hardy and aromatic perennial herb with small, fragrant leaves and a classic Mediterranean flavour. Oregano is a fantastic addition to herb gardens, pots, borders and kitchen gardens, and is ideal for seasoning pizzas, pasta, sauces, salads and grilled dishes.
Each packet contains 1500 seeds.
Planting Instructions:
Sowing Time: Spring to early summer
Position: Full sun to partial shade
Soil: Well drained, moderately fertile soil
Sowing Depth: Surface sow or cover very lightly with fine soil
Spacing: 30cm apart
Germination Time: 14 to 21 days
Harvesting Time: Harvest leaves as required once plants are well established
Growing Tips:
Keep soil lightly moist during germination, but avoid overwatering.
Oregano prefers a warm, sunny position and well drained soil.
Regularly trim the plant to encourage bushy growth and fresh new leaves.
For the strongest flavour, harvest leaves before flowering.
Oregano is a hardy perennial and can provide fresh leaves year after year.
