Poppy Flanders Remembrance Seeds – Papaver rhoeas
A beautiful annual poppy producing delicate, vivid scarlet red flowers with distinctive dark centres. Flanders Remembrance is a much loved variety symbolising remembrance and is perfect for mass plantings, cottage gardens, borders and wildflower areas.
Each packet contains approximately 1,500 seeds.
Planting Instructions:
Sowing Time: Autumn to winter
Position: Full sun to partial shade
Soil: Well drained soil
Sowing Depth: Lightly cover with approximately 5mm of soil
Spacing: Thin seedlings to 5cm apart, then plant out approximately 20 to 30cm apart
Germination Time: 10 to 14 days
Flowering Time: Approximately 20 weeks from sowing
Growing Tips:
Sow directly into the garden or into seed trays.
Keep soil moist during germination but avoid waterlogging.
Thin seedlings carefully once established to give plants room to develop.
Water regularly, particularly during dry periods.
Deadhead spent flowers regularly to encourage continued flowering.
Allow some flowers to set seed if you would like them to self seed naturally for future seasons.
Excellent for mass plantings, cottage gardens, borders and wildflower areas.
