Tomato Red Cherry is a heavy cropping variety producing masses of small, bright red cherry tomatoes with a sweet, juicy flavour. The fruits are excellent eaten fresh in salads, added to pasta dishes or enjoyed straight from the plant. Allow the tomatoes to fully ripen on the vine for the best flavour. Growing Tips

Sow seeds into seed raising trays or small pots filled with quality seed raising mix. Firm the mix gently around the seeds and keep consistently moist until germination.

Once seedlings are large enough to handle, gradually acclimatise them to outdoor conditions before transplanting into their final position. Tomatoes perform best when planted into warm soil after the risk of frost has passed.

Keep plants well watered throughout the growing season, particularly during flowering and fruit development. Consistent watering helps support healthy growth and reduces stress during hot weather.

Provide a sturdy stake or trellis before the plants become heavily loaded with fruit. Tie the main stems to their supports regularly as they grow.

Feed regularly once the first fruit truss has formed. A fertiliser formulated for tomatoes will help support flowering and continued fruit production.

Pinch out side shoots as they develop to keep the plant manageable and direct more energy into fruit production. Tie the plant to its support approximately every 25 cm as it grows.

Allow the fruits to ripen fully on the vine for the sweetest flavour. Harvest regularly once the tomatoes have developed their full bright red colour, which also encourages the plant to continue producing more fruit.
